About Greg Poulos

Greg Poulos is a songwriter from Michigan who's been crafting folk, bluegrass, and country songs since 1992. Over more than three decades, he's developed a distinctive voice that weaves together themes of hope, perseverance, and the raw complexities of human relationships. His songs don't shy away from life's harder moments—they meet them head-on with honesty and heart.

Greg's work has earned him numerous songwriting awards throughout his career, including a Grammy nomination that placed him among the most recognized voices in acoustic music. His compositions have found their way into the hands of artists ranging from beloved local and regional bands to nationally acclaimed performers, most notably Grammy-winning fiddle player Michael Cleveland. Having his songs interpreted by such a diverse array of musicians speaks to the universal quality Greg brings to his writing—melodies and lyrics that resonate whether played in a small-town tavern or on a national stage.

When he's not in the writing room, Greg occasionally performs solo concerts in the metro Detroit area, sharing his songs directly with audiences who appreciate the craft behind each verse and chorus. These intimate performances give fans a chance to hear the stories behind the music straight from the songwriter himself.

Away from music, Greg lives on a farm in Michigan where he enjoys a quieter pace of life. He spends his time with family, tends to his land, and looks after his flock of chickens—a grounding counterbalance to the creative intensity of songwriting. It's this connection to place and people that continues to fuel his music after all these years.
